A new Marvin Gaye album will soon be released!

The scrapped 1972 album, You’re The One, which never saw the light of day is being revived and released now. Motown announced on Friday that the follow up to 1971’s What’s Going On will finally be dropping March 29th. It’s said that Marvin pulled the plug on the project after a single from the album didn’t do well on the charts, and therefore was never released.

You’re The Man, which will be released four days before what would have been Gaye’s 80th birthday (April 2), features all of Gaye’s solo and non-soundtrack recordings from 1972. There are mixed reports as for how many songs the project will contain and if the songs are actually never before heard, but thankfully we’ll find out next month.

To kick things off, a new single from the upcoming album has been released called “My Last Chance,” which is mix of Fugees and Amy Winehouse producer Salaam Remi, which you can listen to (below).
