The city of Houston has officially dubbed February 24th “Meek Mill Day.”

Meek Mill received the honour at the Revention Music Center while on his Motivation Tour in the city.

According to TMZ, the decision to gift Meek with the day was, in part, due to the rapper’s vocal advocacy for criminal justice reform, an initiative that particularly took off when he received a sentence of two to four years back in 2017 for violating his probation.

While In Houston, the Philadelphia native stopped by the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department to speak to a group of young boys, touching own his own life experiences and cautioning the group to learn from his mistakes.
