Drake was the top Billboard Music Awards 2019 winner as he collected 12 more prizes to bring his total to an unbelievable 27. It’s the highest number of Billboard awards ever achieved by a music artist, which means Drake just broke records.
The 32-year-old collected some of the night’s biggest artist prizes, including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Male Artist. Not only that, but Drake won massive record wins like Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Rap Album for Scorpion, beating such heavy-hitters like Cardi B and Travis Scott in both categories.

Early in the evening, Drake used his acceptance speech for the Billboard 200 award to shoutout Game Of Thrones. A censor-free version of what he said is: ‘Hey, shout out to Arya Stark for putting in that work last week. Hey!’ We’re 99% sure Maisie Williams was at home waving at her TV.
After that, he quickly established himself as the artist to beat as he picked up award after award, before posing with all 12 of his gongs at the end of the night. During one memorable acceptance speech, he thanked his mother saying that she was responsible for getting him into music.
