Ice Cube is looking to put out the last installment in the Friday series sometime next year.
The actor and rapper revealed his plans for the Friday sequel on an episode of ESPN’s The Jump. Cube shared that he wants the movie to drop in time for the original film’s 25th anniversary: April 26, 2020.

“We are pushing for it, we finished the script, we are getting notes from the studio and it’s going back and forth,” Cube said. “Get into pre-production and start hiring. It would be nice for this to come out on the 25th anniversary.”
Cube’s admission that there’s a script and a deadline in mind came just days after he teased fans on Twitter about a possible sequel.
To the 24 years that have flown since this came out, all I gotta say is… BYE, FELICIA
