The lawsuit against Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been quietly dropped after a notice of voluntary dismissal was filed, Bloomberg reports.

Ronaldo publicly denied the allegations made by Kathryn Mayorga that he sexually assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009.

The case saw a number of the Portuguese star’s brand endorsements, including Nike and EA Sports, voice concerns over the allegations. The headlines also affected the Italian club’s share price, dropping 15%.

Not stipulating as to whether the case was settled out of court, the decisions within the court are unknown to the general public.
